A warm, wet week is in store for Lansing and the rest of south-central Michigan, with flooding the likely result.

Much of southern lower Michigan is under a flood warning through next Tuesday, Feb. 27.  The weather service on Monday said flooding could be moderate on the Grand in Lansing and the same for Sycamore Creek in Holt.

Severe flooding is expected on the Looking Glass near Eagle.  The region could get 1 to 3 inches of rain through Wednesday.

The rain, coupled with the melting snowpack and the still frozen ground, could push swollen rivers and streams over their banks.

Flash flooding is unlikely because the rain will fall over a three day period.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
