Fire in Stockbridge Wipes Out Equipment in Pole Barn
A fire destroyed a building owned by Dragline Works on N. M-52 in Stockbrdige Wednesday morning.
Nobody was hurt when a fire wiped out a pole barn full of equipment and supplies at a business.
Workers were welding inside the barn. They left for awhile, and found it in flames when they returned. Everything inside was ruined.
Dennis Marshall, owner of Dragline Works, a pond construction business, said the fire started a little before 11 a.m. and fire crews had the fire out between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Marshall said insurance will cover the cost of the structure, but the 35 years worth of equipment and spare parts will be a major loss. Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
