Final Weekend of the Season for the Detroit Lions
Alright Detroit Lions fans, it's come down to the wire and it all happens this weekend. The final weekend of the season boils down to this:
If the Detroit Lions beat the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, and the Seattle Seahawks lose their game, that would be huge because the Detroit Lions would officially be in the playoffs. (fingers crossed)
The last time the Detroit Lions made it to the NFL playoffs was back in 2011. That's when the Lions qualified for their first playoff appearance in 12 years.
The Lions have been tearing it up lately by winning seven of their last nine games. They recently defeated the Chicago Bears by a score of 41-10. Now they just need one more win for a shot, only if Seattle loses their game against the Rams.
And I would also like to mention how happy we all are to see Aidan Hutchinson on the Lions team and that he may have a shot at rookie of the year.
This from mlive.com:
Hutchinson even has three interceptions, which is not only an all-time NFL record for a rookie defensive lineman, but matches a league high by any lineman since 1990. He still won’t win the award (probably), but he’s been everything the Lions were looking for with the No. 2 pick. They wanted a workhorse they could lean on in all situations, and Hutchinson has been that to near-historic measures.
The Detroit Lions have really been stepping it up lately with several big wins and now a chance to make it to the playoffs.
This Sunday night, the Lions and the Packers are playing for the final Wild Card spot in the NFC. The big game will be played at 8:20 p.m. on NBC's Sunday Night Football.
