Get ready to lace up your shoes for a fun filled day of running or walking in Ele's Race 5K Virtual Run/Walk.

Ele's Race is an annual 5K Run/Walk that directly benefits Ele's Place, Capital Region.

Ele's Place is a healing center for grieving children and teens. The race is a fun family event that helps to raise funds and awareness for Ele's Place.

All Ele's Place bereavement support services are provided at no cost to families, thanks to our generous community and participants in Ele's Race 5K.

I've been hosting Ele's 5K Race/Walk for well over 10 years now. Not only do I really enjoy hosting this wonderful event, but working with Ele's Place staff members and all the volunteers over the years has truly made this event very special for everyone.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, things are going to change a little bit. Instead of running and walking at the Jackson Nation Life Headquarter in Okemos, we are turning this into a Virtual 5K Run/Walk.

This means you can run/walk wherever you'd like. You choose the start time!

It will take place on Saturday, July 25 at 8:00 a.m. or whatever time you pick as your starting time.

FYI: There will be a packet pick-up. You will also get a shirt, a bib number and there will be race bags as well.

And we think you'll really like this, you can run or walk with your dog as long as you are in a place where dogs are allowed. To get more information and to sign up, everything you need is here. Tell your friends and join us July 25 for Ele's Race 5K Virtual Run/Walk.
