If you love chicken, specifically fried chicken tenders, get ready because Raising Cane's in East Lansing has officially announced when they'll be open.

Michigan's Only Raising Cane's Location is Opening Soon

Mid Michigan seems to have been waiting on bated breath for the opening of Raising Cane's. It's the first, and only, location in Michigan so far, and it's opening up in the heart of Downtown East Lansing.

We first learned that Raising Cane's would be coming to East Lansing in February of 2022, all because of a job listing that Raising Cane's had on their website. At the time, we knew where it was going to be opening, at the corner of Grand River Avenue and M.A.C. in East Lansing. However, we didn't know when it was opening. Now, we do!

According to a quick Google search, Raising Cane's is opening this month on October 18th.

What's cool about Raising Cane's is that it has a walk-up window, so you'll be able to grab your food and be on the go quicker than usual. There will also be dine-in seating available. However, this will be the only one of its many locations that lacks a drive-thru. Truly, one of a kind.

While I absolutely adore a good chicken tender and an even better sauce to go with it, I've never had the pleasure of having Raising Cane's. So, I spoke with a co-worker of mine who absolutely adores it, and here's what she had to say;

The chicken is actually fresh, and you never get any weird, spongey chicken pieces that make you lose your appetite. The crinckle cut fries are amazing, the Texas toast is buttery and delicious and something a lot of chicken places don't offer. And the homemade sauce and lemonade are delicious. Raising Cane's offers that southern feeling and taste that other chicken places try to replicate but just can't do it. And it's not greasy.

We should mention that this opening date isn't final yet, so while October 18th is the anticipated opening date, that's subject to change.
