Downtown Grand Rapids Hotel Featuring a New Restaurant

Are you ready to check out another new restaurant here in Michigan?. We love it when new restaurants open here in the Greater Lansing area, but what about outside of Lansing?

Let's head west on 96 straight to beautiful Grand Rapids for the opening of a new restaurant called Portico at the Canopy by Hilton hotel. This new restaurant is set to open on Friday, September 3.

Portico, 131 Ionia Ave. SW., will serve a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, soups, and entrees such as Cornish hen and cornbread, as well as smoked turkey and polenta ravioli.

The whole concept behind Portico in Grand Rapids is to keep things local. That's exactly what makes the Grand Rapids area such a great place to live and work. It is such a clean and vibrant city and everyone really enjoys that area.

If you know the Grand Rapids area like I do, then you know it's famous for the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. They always feature outdoor musical shows that are very entertaining.

And let's not forget about baseball with the very popular West Michigan Whitecaps. Here in Lansing we have the Lansing Lugnuts. In Grand Rapids, it's baseball fun with the Whitecaps.

So now you have the chance to visit Portico at the Canopy by Hilton hotel. Delicious food, great location and all that's missing is you!

Portico Cafe, which serves coffee and various breakfast items, has been operating since the hotel opened. But Friday will mark the first time the Portico restaurant is open for dinner. The restaurant is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
