It's been years, but I remember having dinner at the top of the Renaissance Center and enjoying the beautiful skyline view of
Detroit and beyond.

Dining high atop the General Motors Renaissance Center's 73 story-tall-central tower, which also is where the Detroit Marriott is, now is open after a nearly 3 year hiatus.

Highlands, the overall brand of an operation that includes 2 restaurants, a Steakhouse and a Scotch bar and a special events space will open on Monday, at the tallest building in Michigan, on the 71 st and 72 ND floor.

The restaurant group is led by a James Beard award winning chef, who is best known for the groups Las Vegas restaurants and his previous work in Chicago.

Delicious food and an amazing view makes it really worth the drive to Detroit for dinner.
