This is a question that some major fast food or fast casual places are thinking due to the coronavirus. The idea came from Starbucks, as according to WILX, they are thinking about only serving through the drive-thru and closing the inside of the store for customers.

The coffee and food chain is still weighing these options. They did this in China for a few weeks but have since gone back to opening the stores there. There a “last resort,” too, as Starbucks may temporarily close stores. They may also limit seating inside for a short time to encourage social distancing. Stores are still open as of right now.
