Since this is considered spring time, it might be the time to get busy cleaning so you can make sure things are in their proper place and that the stuff you want to get rid of is recycled the right way.

According to the Detroit Free Press, rather than just automatically pitching unwanted items into the trash, they are urging Michiganders to think in terms of recycling and reusing while you go about cleaning and decluttering your household.

That's exactly what I do. My wife and I go through the entire house every spring and decide what stays and what goes and what we can reuse.

According to spring cleaning experts, some of what spring cleaners place in their recycling bins doesn't belong there.

For example and very important to know: containers that themselves are recyclable are dangerous if they still contain chemicals. We're talking about bleach or drain cleaner, that can mix and cause fires at recycling facilities.

One important thing to remember is that you should always rinse and empty all containers before placing them in your recycling bin. Please click on the above link for more information.
