Charlotte High School senior Ryan Klann, will get the chance to be part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 22.

Ryan will serve as one of two high school drum majors chosen to lead the Macy's Great American Marching Band, a collection of more than 200 high school musicians from around the country, who march and perform during the nationally televised parade that begins at 9 a.m. on Nov. 22.

According to the Lansing State Journal, it's a fitting honor for Klann, who joined Charlotte Public School's band program in sixth grade and set his sights on leading its high school marching band when he was 12.
