Are you ready for some family winter fun?  This Saturday, Feb. 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., dress warm and bring the whole family to downtown Lansing for a day of socially distanced outdoor activities.

It's just a great feeling when you can just get out of the house with your entire family to enjoy great outdoor activities.  It's time for a breath of fresh air and the inaugural Lansing Winterfest!

According to the Lansing State Journal, Lansing Winterfest is hosted by Downtown Lansing, Inc. in partnership with the Capital Region Community Foundation.  This wonderful event will feature live ice sculpture demos and a variety of winter activities spread out from downtown to Old Town.

Cathleen Edgerly, executive director of Downtown Lansing, Inc. said we want to make sure we continue to center activities downtown for the people who are here and supporting local businesses and organizations every single day.

Activity stations will be located on the Lansing River Trail, behind the Impression 5 Science Center, at Rotary Park and along the route to Old Town.  Plus along South Washington Square, on Michigan Avenue and at the new ice skating rink located on City Hall Plaza, across the street from the Michigan Capitol.  (Lansing State Journal)
