How exciting is this?  The Capital area District Library in downtown Lansing has reopened today with a beautifully polished green floor which shines so brightly you can see your reflection in it.

There's a huge new curved front desk to check out as well.  A work crew on Thursday was putting the final touches on the lobby.  After two and a half months of work, the $670,000 renovated downtown branch of CADL is once again, open to the public.

According to the Lansing State Journal, most of the cost of the project was covered by CADL's reserve funds.  A small percentage came from Friends of the Lansing Libraries donations.

Capital Area District Library is located at 401 S. Capitol Ave.  They will have a Family celebration to show off the new space from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 1 at the library.
