Clinton County Animal Control and the CAHS Need Your Help to Find Those Responsible for an Animal Cruelty Case
The Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) is working with Clinton County Animal Control to try and find the person or persons involved in this latest case of animal cruelty.
A 4-5 month old puppy was found lying at the side of the road in Clinton County near a milk crate at the corner of West Mead and McNeil Road. The animal's condition was horrifying.
The emaciated puppy was immediately taken to a veterinary office where he started receiving medical care. The animal was wearing a bright red collar, had what looks like wounds or sores on his sweet face, and he was so thin and underfed that he was basically skin and bones. The photos of the puppy below show just how emaciated he was.
Clinton Country Animal Control is asking for the public's help in finding the monster who did this to an innocent puppy. Someone has to know something, so do the right thing and contact animal control or the CAHS.
I wish this was an isolated incident, but it is not. Earlier in the year Clinton County found a stray wandering around and once they had the dog at the shelter they found out the poor guy and been a victim of animal cruelty. The dog they named Busterson had been shot in the jaw. Despite his injuries, Busterson was able to eat and drink. The great news was that he was adopted into a loving family. Time for him to live his best life.
If you see an animal being abused or spot an animal that is a victim of cruelty, immediately contact Animal Control or the Capital Area Humane Society .
If you would like to help with any of the animals' medical bills, just give the CAHS a call. Donations are always welcome and always needed.
