Burt Reynolds Tribute Night July 20 at Cooley Law School Stadium

The late Burt Reynolds, born in Lansing, will have his memory live on this summer thanks to the Lansing Lugnuts.

Get ready for a tribute night which will take place on July 20 at Cooley Law School Stadium.

Here's the really cool part, the Lugnuts will wear black colored Smokey and the Bandit themed jerseys.  Each button up jersey will have a gold firebird logo featured prominently on the front.

Personally speaking, I think this is a great idea.  Another reason why everyone should go on July 20, the players jerseys will be auctioned off after the game.

Fans won't be able to buy any replica jerseys in the stadium gift shop, but the first 1,000 of them to show up at the ballpark will get a free Burt Reynolds bobblehead.  The Lansing State Journal has more information.
