Bring on Snow Tubing Fun at Lansing’s Hawk Island Park
Are you ready for some winter fun at Lansing's Hawk Island Park? Then you're in luck because Hawk Island's snow tubing hill opens to the public this weekend.
Hawk Island is located at 1601 E. Cavanaugh Rd. in Lansing. So dress warm and come for tubing fun this Saturday and have a blast.
Tickets to go tubing are available through the Ingham County Parks website at parks.ingham.org.
Once you get your tickets, be prepared for one of the best snow tubing hills around. I took my kids to Hawk Island for snow tubing many times and we all had so much fun.
Not only is Hawk Island Park local and easy to find, but there's plenty of space to do just about anything at the Lansing park.
According to the Lansing State Journal:
The 500-foot run boasts 16-foot lanes groomed for sledding that drop about 50 feet in elevation. Riders are saved the long walk back uphill by a conveyor lift. Snow-making machines are used to extend the hill's operations through warmer weekends.
I love to watch people tubing down snow covered hills. It just makes you smile knowing that everyone is having a good time.
This weekend at Hawk Island Park, tube sizes are available for children and adults. You don't have to worry about loading up a couple of snow tubes to bring to the park. Hawk Island has you covered with everything you need this Saturday.
And don't worry about being too cold. If you get really cold, you can walk right into a warming station to enjoy delicious hot chocolate and several snacks too.
Make sure you bring your masks this weekend. You only need to wear them inside the warming station.
