Hello beginner bowlers. Just want you to know that I've been bowling for many years now and really enjoy the game.

Of course there are ups and downs to the game like really low scores, throwing the bowling ball in the gutter, and getting lots of splits.

On the other hand, there are great things about bowling: High scores, bowling a 300, and sharing bowling stories with all of your friends.

I'm here to tell you about three things that you need as a bowling beginner:

1. A really good bowling ball. Some of the best that I've used are Roto Grip, Brunswick, Columbia and Hammer. All you have to do is pick out a great bowling ball. Bowling balls weigh anywhere from 8 pounds to 16 pounds. You need one that's not too heavy and not to light. Once you buy the ball, you'll also need to have it drilled so that it fits your hand perfectly. Oh, and don't forget the bag to keep it in!

2. You need a good pair of bowling shoes. You're not allowed to wear street shoes or any other type of shoes that don't meet requirements. Dexter is a really good brand when it comes to bowling shoes. Brunswick also makes very good bowling shoes.

3. Finally, you'll need someone who can teach you the fundamentals of the game. Because you're a beginner bowler, it's always a good idea to take a few lessons from a bowling pro. They can teach you the right way to throw the bowling ball and the right amount of steps to release the ball and throw a strike. You will need a 4 or 5 step approach.

Happy Bowling!
