Can we talk boats? I love boat shows because it makes me think of spring and summer and fun in the water.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the annual Detroit Boat Show is going on now through Sunday, January 26, at the TCF Center in downtown Detroit.

The 62nd annual event is a 500,000 square foot showcase of boats and boating equipment.

It's one of the largest boat shows in the nation based on size, sale and attendance. Guests can talk to experts from over 150 exhibits and see the new technology the boating world has to offer all in one place.

There are over 500 boats on display from top dealers around Michigan and the Great Lakes.

Pontoon boats are the hot thing in boats these days in Michigan. They're designed primarily for inland lakes and you can typically entertain 12 to 15 people very comfortably.

The show isn't just about buying boats. There are activities, such as photo booths, giveaways, a Kids Zone and much more that families can enjoy.

There's even a live stingray encounter where guests of all ages can pet stingrays.
