Board of Water & Light Flushing Local Water Mains
According to WILX News 10, Your Breaking News and Weather Authority, the Lansing Board of Water & Light will flush water mains beginning today in northwest Lansing and finishing on Monday, August 5th.
Water main flushing is a routine procedure to remove accumulated sediment and maintain water quality. The flushing has no effect on the water's safety for drinking or other uses.
Customers may experience fluctuations in water pressure and changes in water clarity during flushing, which will take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
