Well alright, another restaurant coming to the Lansing area will open next week.  The official opening date is June 1 at the Eastwood Towne Center.

What's the name of this new restaurant?  BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse.  It's taken roughly two years of construction to get everything up and running for their official opening next week.

According to the Lansing State Journal:

The restaurant specializes in deep dish pizzas (which run around $28 for a 14-inch large) and is known for its house beers with names like Nit Wit (a white ale), BJ's Zany citrus hazy IPA and BJ's Piranha Pale Ale.

This sound terrific already.  I love deep dish pizza and when you can pair that with house beer, this is the perfect combination.

I think my wife and I will plan to go to BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse on their official opening day, June 1, at Eastwood Towne Center.  That way I can talk about it on the air the next day and urge everyone to go and see the place for themselves.

The Lansing State Journal also tells us:

The restaurant hired over 175 people and is looking to fill another 20 spots, said Mike Elier, BJ's director of operations.

So if someone you know is looking for a job, you know where to send them.  Should be a good experience.

Lansing State Journal adds:

The restaurant's menu also offers a selection of burgers, sandwiches and pastas.  But BJ's secret weapon is its patented Pizzookie (pizza + cookie), a cookie baked fresh in a pizza pan and topped with ice cream.
