There's a boy who lives in the Michigan town of Goodrich in Genesee County by the name of Eric Kilburn Jr..

At the age of 16 he made the Guinness Book of World Records: not once, but twice.

First, he holds the record for the largest feet on a living teenager: 13.50 inches, shoe size 23. Second, his hands measure 9.13 inches, the largest hands on a living teenager.

When he was in Kindergarten he noticed he was much taller than the other kids in class.

With no shoes available in his size, Eric had to have a special pair of shoes made: a custom-made orthopedic pair that cost over $1,500. It was his mother who thought maybe his size could be a world record. As the story of his size gained more online traction, shoe companies Puma and Under Armor made him special shoes and boots.

Eric came to terms with his size a long time ago and is used to the stares and gawks he gets wherever he goes. The support he gets from his family and close friends has even made him a bigger man on the inside. In an article on the Guinness World Record site, Eric says, “I want to help people the same way I was helped when I needed it. My mom has shown me that you can do anything even through hard times.”

Eric hopes to use his fame in a positive way, to inspire people who may be 'different' and also  encourages others to ignore snarky comments from smartasses. He feels that “those who try to bring others down are often unhappy themselves.”
