Let me start out by saying that outer space has always been a huge fascination of mine for many years and here's another big reason why.

Astronomers have found a planet in another solar system that is very similar to Earth. The planet is called Kepler-1649c.

According to WILX, it was spotted by a team of transatlantic scientists using reanalyzed data from NASA's Kepler space telescope, which was retired by the agency in 2018.

This is one of the reasons why I really enjoy reading about new discoveries. And I can tell you this, scientists love this sort of thing.

Scientists believe that this intriguing, distant world gives us even greater hope that a second Earth lies among the stars, waiting to be found.

Here are a couple of facts that may interest you too:

1. This newly revealed world is only 1.06 times larger than our own planet.

2. The amount of starlight it receives from its host star is 75% of the amount of light Earth receives from our Sun. That means that the planet's temperature may be similar to our planet's as well.
