Here we go again with another brief shot of winter weather expected to arrive in mid-Michigan today, with 3 to 5 inches of snow possible by tonight.

The snow could be heavy at times and might cause problems during the evening commute.  The forecast called for about 3 inches of snow in the Lansing area during the day and another 2 inches tonight.

Even a couple of inches of wet, heavy snow could be a problem if it sticks to trees and power lines.  North-northeast winds gusting to 30 mph could bring down limbs and electrical lines, causing scattered outages.

The region should get a chance to dry out a little over the weekend.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
