The All Seasons motel has experienced a few transformations over the years. It’s been raced back to the 1960s and was one of those Upper Peninsula motels along US-2 that catered to roadtrippers and the casual tourist.

Found just south of the town of Rapid River in Delta County, the motel lasted for a few good decades. In February 1999 a fire broke out in the motel. A pillow had ripped apart while in a dryer, became lodged, and caught fire. Luckily, the fire was contained inside the dryer, and no motel damage was reported.

By the mid 2010s, the motel was closed. In 2016, renovations were under way by a new proprietor. However, a motel wasn’t what was in store.....it was turned into a Papa Jim’s Pizza that lasted a few years.

In 2025 that all changed again. The sign out front stated “Peninsula Point Lodge Coming”. But according to Peninsula Point’s web page, it’s actually about a mile north of the former All Seasons motel.

The former All Seasons is located at 9911 US-2 in Rapid River.
