This little old one-room schoolhouse was discovered by accident while traveling down one of Michigan's many dirt roads.

It's sitting alone off the road, surrounded in small trees, making it difficult to see when all the leaves sprout.

Upon closer look, some of the bricks in one corner have fallen off, revealing an old original wooden frame underneath. So the date of this school's origin could possibly go back as far as the early 1800s.

Unfortunately, the videographer does not reveal where he found this, other than it's in the Michigan countryside.

There are still a good number of these abandoned schools that dot the land throughout our state, and they are not too difficult to find. So enjoy these images and little videos while you can, because one day these historic structures will be demolished...but hopefully not in our lifetime...
