A New Place Opens For Sweet Lovers
A young woman has taken her love of baking cheesecakes and turned it into a business and now its own place.
KorrieLinn DeLand has had quite the journey. Starting as a deli manager who had the knack and love of making cheesecakes, from there to a wholesale bakery and now she will be opening her own place 'the Cheesecake Shack' near Charlotte.
DeLand already has a fan base of cheesecake lovers and now sells them at places like Horrock's FarmMarket, the Evelyn Bay Coffee shop n Charlotte, Family Tree Cafe in DeWitt and even Tiffany's Wine & Spirits in Kalamazoo.
DeLand is now filling custom orders from a baking space in Lansing's Old Town.
That is about to change, The Cheesecake Shack will be open by mid March in Charlotte. In face she took the building, a former chicken coop, gutted the place and is now getting ready to open her first place on her own, The Cheesecake Shack.
The property for the new place is 15 minutes from Charlotte, and KorrieLinn is hopeful people will make the drive. I guarantee you the destination will be worth it.
DeLand has big plans that include holding wine and and baking classes (she had me at wine).
