No question this winter has been brutal, but it has also been a learning experience.

8 Things I Have Learned This Winter:

8:  To back out of the driveway in a straight line, 1 false move and you're in the pile of snow at the end of the driveway

7:  Always leave plenty of room between you and the car in front of you, you do not want to be the car in the median while everyone else in on their way to work.

6:  fashion doesn't matter, it all about utility

5: Buy a generator, the ice is pretty but it won't keep you warm!

4:Move south!  How bad can a hurricane really be?

3: Do not move to the East Coast.  It's always worse by the time the storm gets there

2:  Driving slow, like walking slow is an art form

1:  Give to our local shelters, who feed, clothe and house our most vulnerable citizens*
