58th Annual East Lansing Art Festival Will Return Aug. 7-8
The East Lansing Art Festival has been around for many years and generally speaking, has been a local staple in this area providing countless works of beautiful art to the East Lansing area.
All I can say is bring your debit card and your check book because you cannot leave the East Lansing Art Festival without a purchase or two.
According to the Lansing State Journal:
This year's festival will be smaller than the 2019 version due to lingering uncertainty about the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will take place on M.A.C. Avenue from Grand River Avenue to Albert Avenue, and from the Albert Avenue Garage to Bailey Street. Ann Street Plaza, Fountain Square and the new Albert EL Fresco pedestrian space will also be part of the festival site.
I've been going to the East Lansing Art Festival as far back as I can remember. In years past, the festival would bring in thousands and thousands of people walking the downtown streets of East Lansing.
There were hundreds of art display booths set up, along with musical entertainment, and lots of food throughout East Lansing.
Even though things are going to be a bit different coming up on Aug. 7-8, you can still check it out on the East Lansing Art festival Facebook page if you don't feel comfortable attending in person.
The Lansing State Journal adds:
As part of this year's safety measures, an ELAF 'green team' will be disinfecting surfaces throughout the festival site.
The focus as usual will still be on the safety of others, but it will be nice to get outside and walk around again looking at all the fine art at the East Lansing Art Festival.
Around 80 artists will be featured at the Art Festival on Aug. 7-8. Enjoy art at its finest along with food vendors and live entertainment as well.
