Would You Put a Wind Mill in Your Backyard?

or would you use solar panels or shingles?  I don't know about anyone else but this winter has been cold and my gas/electric bill in astronomical!  I live in an old drafty house,

no doubt more insulation would help, but I'm thinking that adding solar, may save me over time.  Have you ever looked into it or had an energy audit done?  Perhaps thats where I need to start.   Although I can tell you where the air is coming in, it couldn't hurt to have somebody find out all the hidden spaces.  It's either that or shrink wrap the whole house in the fall!
