Kensington Palace announced today that Prince Charles will walk Meghan Markle down the aisle.  This makes me so happy!

Meghan Markle's father just had open heart surgery and will not be able to attend the Royal Wedding.  Speculation had been  possibly her Mother would walk her down the aisle, but that changed with an announcement from the Palace.

The announcement said " Ms. Meghan Markle has asked His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of St. Georges Chapel on her wedding day.  The Palace said that The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle to the Royal Family in this way. " (sigh, my heart )

The news came the day after Meghan announced that her father was to ill to attend the wedding and would not be able to give his daughter away.  Prince Charles walking his Daughter in-law down the aisle proves the Royal Families support of this marriage.

Wedding fun fact......Megan will not have a maid of honor, instead she will have six young bridesmaids and four page boys, with Prince Harrys Nephew Prince William and his niece Princess Charlotte taking part in those roles.

The Ceremony takes place at noon London Time, Ms Markle will arrive at Windsor in a car with her Mother, traveling up to the castle via the Long Walk, where members of the public will get their first glimpse of the Bride.

The car will stop at the castle to let Meghan's mom out and pick up some of the bridal party before continuing to the church.
