Joe was born & raised in Michigan, growing up in the small towns of Woodland and Lake Odessa, midway between Lansing and Grand Rapids. He is a graduate of Lakewood High School and has a degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State University. Joe got started in radio right out of college, working for WFMK as an intern, and making his way full-time on the air in the latter half of the ‘90s. His on-air name was given to him by the late, great Lansing radio icon Ray Marshall, when Joe hosted the Saturday night “Retro Show” featuring music of the ‘70s & ‘80s. Joe has an extensive music collection, including EVERY Top 40 hit from the 70s through today! He is the host of his own Di-Namix Top 40 Countdown show on the internet, and has also produced his own Retro Show.
Joe also works in the accounting department of a fast-growing sportswear company in Fowlerville, and lives in Lansing with his awesome cat, Cosmo. His hobbies (besides music) include attending classic car shows, spending time with friends & family, and building very detailed model cars (mostly muscle cars from the 60s and 70s) in his spare time. Joe also bowls on Danny Stewart’s bowling team on Tuesday nights, and hopes to overtake Danny’s average in the near future!
