LANSING HISTORY: The History of Oldsmobile
The Oldsmobile was founded by Ransom E. Olds in 1897.
For well over a century, the Lansing, Michigan factory cranked out 14 million cars out of a nationwide total of 35.2 million…an extremely prestigious accomplishment!
At the time it closed down in 2004, Oldsmobile was the oldest surviving American automobile line.
