The Detroit Tigers have won the American League Central Division for the fourth consecutive season, this time with first year manager Brad Ausmus.

Ausmus said, "they do all the work.  They do the heavy lifting."  It wasn't easy, with the Tigers having to go to the final game of the regular season before clinching the division.

"It's been a roller-coaster season," Ausmus said.  "But ultimately, they stayed the course.  They didn't get overwhelmed and they got the job done."

Now it's on to the AL Division Series which begins this Thursday with our Detroit Tigers at Baltimore.  Max Scherzer will take the mound for the Tigers with either a 5:37p.m. start time or 6:07p.m. start time.

The rest of the series continues on Friday at Baltimore, back home at Comerica Park Sunday and Monday (Oct. 6). and then back to Baltimore for the final game of the series if necessary.
