Inside the building we calmly walked to our offices and locked the doors and checked facebook, email and texts for details.  What I found odd was that we weren't scared, nobody panicked.  In the radio station we ate cookies and waited for the all clear.

I find it odd that phrases like "person with a gun", "active shooter" and "lockdown" are now a part of our regular vocabulary.  Shouldn't we be shocked or frightened about this? Maybe it's so outside our imaginations that someone would come and shoot us.

Have you ever experienced violence in you workplace?  How did you react?  How do you think you would handle that type of situation?  I will admit now that I've really had time to think about it, I am a little freaked out.
