An Open Message to Haters of ‘Pop’ and Advocates of ‘Soda’

FIRST OF ALL, who the hell came up with telling we Michiganders to stop calling soft drinks “pop”? DON'T YOU DARE tell me or any of us how to pronounce something we love so much!

Faygo, Vernors, Towne Club, Hi-Klas, RC, Coke, and all other brands will ALWAYS be POP...at least to me, and I'm sure many others.

If you wanna stop calling pop “pop”, then stop. But DO NOT attempt to tell all 100% of Michiganders to follow. Unless you're a clueless out-of-stater and don't get it, don't be a 'pop bigot'. This is part of our culture.
