Can you believe it?  Gas prices have plunged to a five year low in Michigan as the global price of oil continues to tumble.

The average price of a gallon of gasoline in Michigan fell 19 cents last week to $2.48, according to AAA.  In metro Detroit, the average fell 18 cents to $2.50.  Nationally, the average was $2.56.

AAA says more than 50 million people are expected to travel 50 miles or more this holiday season.  Since gas prices are going down, travelers will be much happier at the gas pump filling up for the holiday season.
