Couple of things to put on your to do list for Saturday March 19.  First up, Fenner Nature Center in Lansing has its popular annual Maple Syrup Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

While you're there, Fenner Nature Center will give lessons about the history of maple syrup making with hands on demonstrations of how sap is transformed into syrup.  For information, visit mynaturecenter.org/maplesyrupfestival.

Another event taking place on Saturday is Great Girls of Michigan Family Saturdays.  As you know, March is Women's History Month, and the Michigan Women's Historical Center and Hall of Fame is hosting this event.

This weekend's storyteller is Karrie Korich, telling tales of Michigan's women and girls throughout history from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Michigan Women's Historical Center and Hall of Fame, 213 W. Malcolm X St., Lansing.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
