Dave and Amy Poquette, the owners of Gibson's Bookstore and Cafe, plan to close their store at the end of the spring semester.  The store has been in the family business for over 40 years in downtown Lansing.

Gibson's Bookstore will close following the end of LCC's spring semester in May.  LCC's partnership with MBS Textbook Exchange, an online, out of state textbook vendor, is behind the decision to close.

While sad to hear about the bookstore's closing, Ava Towns, an administrative assistant at LCC, said she was relieved to hear the cafe would remain open which is inside Gibson's Bookstore.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
