Additional Information

Lansing Pagan Pride Day is an event where people from all walks of life come together peacefully in order to learn and grow as a community. There are informational booths, vendors, live music, kid's crafts and food. Our goal is to bring people from all over Mid-Michigan together in order for them to connect as a community. For many people, being a Pagan, or any follower of an earth based religion, can be a lonely one. We hope that this event allows people to make positive, and long lasting connections with those of like minds and hearts.

This year our event theme is "Find Your Dark Side". Many believe that we have what is called a Shadow Self. It is the part many of us repress to be the good people we are now, however, the repressing of this Shadow side can sometimes have us lashing out at those we love and respect. In order to be a whole and healthy individual, a person must every now and then recognize the Shadow Self and commune with it in order to keep the peace within their mind, heart and soul. If not, it can have devastating effects.

We have DJ's this year; Daniel Simmons, Glitter Magik, DJ Skellie Lafleur. We also have author Corvis Nocturnum coming to lecture and book sign, as well as a teacher from Detroit Daem Wilburn. This Saturday will be a time of fun, learning, and community.

We are also now a part of Pagans In Need. So if you would like to donate non-perishable foods, clothing, or toiletries you can bring them with you. We are also collecting donations for our yearly raffle. We will take homemade crafts, fantasy and magical items, and we always like to support our local artisans. You can bring these as well when you come.

I hope to see you there!
