In the month of August, Elvis Presley fans will descend upon Memphis for Elvis Week.  I've been an Elvis fan for many years and starting Aug. 9, visitors will be guided through the King of Rock 'n' Roll's home via an iPad tour voiced by actor John Stamos.

A new archive studio has been built on the property for live presentations of artifacts as part of Graceland's platinum and VIP tours.

Elvis Presley Enterprises also will break ground on a $70 million, 450-room hotel project called the Guest House at Graceland.

Graceland, the home Elvis bought in 1957, draws more than 500,000 visitors a year.  Last year, Elvis Week, a series of events commemorating the singer's death on Aug. 16, 1977, brought 35,000 people to the city.
