Crossroads Barbecue, at 221 S. Bridge St. in downtown Grand Ledge, has an offer you probably can't digest.  They are looking for "Chopping Block" challengers this summer who believe they have superhuman appetites.

Here's the hearty dare:  eat a full rack of ribs, a pound of brisket, a pound of pulled pork, a pound of sausage, a pound of fries and 12 smoked chicken wings in an hour or less.   The challenger is required to attack everything but the bones and also down a large drink.

Chopping Block owner Lee Burmeister began offering  "Chopping Block" on the menu last winter for $75.  He estimates the entire meal consists of over $100 worth of food.

If a patron finishes the feat successfully, he or she won't have to pay for the meal and will earn a place in Grand Ledge history.  The champ will receive a T-shirt, have their picture posted on a wall in the restaurant and likely have plenty of free publicity.  Check it out in the Lansing State Journal.
