Cedar Point Announces Higher Prices and New Roller Coaster

Visitors to Cedar Point will be paying more this season when the Ohio amusement park debuts its new world record-breaking hyper- hybrid roller coaster, the Steal Vengeance.

The park announced gate admission this year is $72, a $5 increase.  The admission gets you unlimited access to all rides and the Cedar Point Beach for the day but not the water park.

Cedar Point opens for the season, May 5th.  Steal Vengeance is the first steel on wood hybrid coaster.  It's 205 feet tall, has a first drop of 200 feet, goes 74 miles per hour, and has four inversions.  The ride time is 2 and a half minutes.  Here's more from the Detroit Free Press.
