Winter Weather Causes 140 Accidents in Mid-Michigan

According to News 10, Your Breaking News and Weather Authority, Monday morning's snowy and icy roads helped cause near 140 accidents in Ingham, Eaton and Jackson counties.

The Ingham county Sheriff's Office responded to 12 crashes and 55 slide-offs.  Those totals do not include the cities of Lansing or East Lansing.  Most of the accidents were on highways, with the largest number on U.S. 127 near Mason.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says it responded to 18 accidents as of Monday afternoon.  The Eaton County Sheriff's Office responded to 65 total accidents including 36 cars in ditches alone.  Click on the above link for more information.
