Walnut Hills Country Club is in Legal Limbo

According to the Lansing State Journal, the future of Walnut Hills Country Club is in legal limbo, with a developer facing off against a group of club members seeking to keep the 95 year old club open.

I used to make announcements years ago at many of the LPGA Tournaments at Walnut Hills.  The golf course was always packed with spectators and pro golfers.  Now, Walnut Hills Country Club is unclear of its future.

The country club opened in 1921 at 2874 E. Lake Lansing Road in Meridian Township.  A sign that read course closed stood on the club's golf course Thursday afternoon.
