Tubing at Hawk Island Park is a Blast

What's the one thing kids love doing on any given snow day?   If you said tubing downhill, you're absolutely right!   It was the first weekend of tubing at Hawk Island Park with hundreds enjoying the great outdoors with biting wind chills.

Sunday was especially cold with the Lansing wind chill at 6 degrees below zero, and possibly 10 to 15 below if you're standing exposed on top of a hill.  Like the 80 foot hill at Hawk Island.

The snow making machines were hard at work as the recent warm weather took all the snow but the tubing hill at Hawk Island Park has plenty of snow.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal!
