Now that the holidays are over and all the decorations are put away until next year, it's time to plan your summer vacation.

Vacation rentals in our state are available, and you could book a vacation spot basically anywhere. In Michigan, since we are blessed with lakes from little lakes to great lakes, there are plenty of options. That being said, I decided to focus on the luxury vacation rentals.

It has always been a dream of mine to book a large rental house and fill it with my children and their boyfriends and friends for an amazing week at the beach.

Using the site VRBO, I found there is no shortage of places to rent.

This VBRO rental has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and offers views of Grand Marais and Lake Superior. It rents for $525 a night.

This luxury rental is located right on the Lake Michigan and the views from the window filled home and the terrace are stunning.  Located in South Haven this home offers 5 bedrooms 4 baths, it sleeps 12 also offers a lakefront hot tub (to go along with the view), fire pit and has an outdoor kitchen. This rental, which is my favorite, gives you the opportunity to spend as much time outdoors as possible and make some amazing family memories.
