Tiger Ties Snead’s Record
One of the most amazing and fun things is to watch Tiger Woods when he is playing like a winner. That happened over the weekend.
Woods was playing in the Zozo Championship in Japan and it is now official: No golfer has ever won more PGA Tour events than Tiger Woods. Pretty impressive.
Woods had got within Sam Snead's career record of 82 PGA Tour victories at the Masters back in April, and yesterday Woods tied the mark with a 3 stroke win at the inaugural Zozo Championship in Japan.
Speaking after the win, Woods said "it's an honor to be tied with Sam Snead for most wins in @PGATOUR history. Thanks Mom and Pop and everyone who helped make this possible."
"Five days at the top of the board is a long time, man. It was definitely stressful," said Woods, who is now ranked sixth in the Official World Golf Rankings.
