There Are 3,943 Missing People In Michigan
There are just under 4,000 children, wives, husbands, sisters, brothers and cousins missing in the state of Michigan. While it may seem like there are more people missing, this number has actually gone down. In the spring of 2016, there were nearly 5,000 missing persons cases in Michigan. The decrease is due to more awareness and the efforts of very dedicated law enforcement individuals and many volunteers. Simple gestures of sharing a photo on social media or taking the time to look closely at a photo can reunite loved ones or bring closure.
The photos below are just 1/16 of those currently missing in Michigan. Some of those pictured went missing this year while others were last seen over five decades ago. Birthdays, holidays and new years come and go with no answers for some.
If you could take a moment to study these faces and share their photos, you could contribute to a happy reunion or the answers a family has been waiting for.
