Well they certainly have my attention.  The movie 'Hereditary' is being called the scariest movie in years.

One person reviewing the movie said " imagine every nightmare you've ever had and it was remixed into one unrelenting, dread-inducing horror movie".  That's got my name written all over it.  When it debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, it was widely considered by critics to be one of the scariest movies ever.

The movie starts off with the mother /Grandmother dying.  Her estranged daughter played by actress Toni Collette then learns that her mom had secret friends and was involved in Satanic Rituals in her final years.  Okay, so that right there terrifies me.

Like many horror films, this starts with a death and then another blow hits the family, an ancestral curse is unleashed that rips the family apart.

The goal of this film, according to first-time filmmaker Ari Aster, was to "upset people on a deep level" with scares they think they already know.

Looking for a REALLY good scare?  The movie Hereditary opens in theaters this weekend.
