Tearing Down Trailers at Life O’Riley Mobile Home Park is Underway

Demolition began Monday at Life O'Riley mobile home park at 6726 S. Washington Ave. in Lansing.  Even Mayor Virg Bernero was helping with the demolition.

According to the Lansing State Journal, the former mobile home park was shut down more than three years ago by the Ingham County Health Department for violation of health and safety standards.

Mayor Virg Bernero said in a statement Monday he's excited the mobile home park site will be cleaned up in a matter of weeks.  During the demolition process, the Police Department's tactical team will use the site for training exercises.
