Even though it has been freezing across Michigan the past few weeks not all of the ice is safe to get on and one man has lost his life fishing on thin ice.

At only 1,500 feet long this river in northern Michigan is considered to be the shortest in the state. Conversely, the Grand River is the longest at 252 miles.
